2024-2025 Provincial Weightlifting Season Recap

This season has been a massive year of growth for the GG Weightlifting team.
Capping off the end of the local season with Alberta Weightlifting Association's provincial championships, GG Weightlifting fielded 18 athletes, doubled up from last year's 9 athletes. At this point in last year's season, we had two athletes qualify for junior nationals and two athletes qualify for senior nationals. This year, we've qualified TWELVE athletes for junior nationals and SIX for senior nationals, with 3 of those athletes also qualifying for international events as part of Team Canada. A combination of quantitative and qualitative growth as a team in competition is always excellent to look back on and learn from!
